What you will do

Build the funding pipeline

Identify, qualify and manage suitable grant, innovation, development and catalytic funding opportunities.

Build institutional partnerships

Develop relationships with governments, development institutions, research organizations, banks and strategic partners.

Structure pilots

Turn Sentalica capabilities into fundable and measurable institutional pilot programs.

Develop proposals

Work with founder, intelligence and technical teams to produce proposals, budgets, workplans and evaluation frameworks.

What success looks like

First 90 days

  • Build the institutional target map.
  • Establish the funding pipeline.
  • Identify priority funding programs.
  • Develop the partnership deck.
  • Produce 3–5 pilot concepts.
  • Begin conversations with priority institutions.

First 6–12 months

  • Establish strategic institutional partnerships.
  • Secure pilot opportunities.
  • Submit strong funding proposals.
  • Build repeatable institutional-development processes.
  • Contribute materially to non-dilutive funding and strategic partnerships.

What we are looking for

Must have

  • Experience in institutional partnerships, development finance, grants, resource mobilization or strategic program development.
  • Strong proposal writing.
  • Relationship-building ability.
  • Ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong written and spoken communication.
  • Ability to operate independently.

Strongly preferred

  • Experience with development institutions.
  • Uganda/East Africa ecosystem knowledge.
  • Experience with digital transformation or governance initiatives.
  • Experience structuring pilots.

Nice to have

  • Procurement/public-sector experience.
  • Data/AI understanding.
  • Startup experience.
